Located in the East Midlands, UK, Compound Dubz works with a diverse range of clients, from major record labels and respected independent imprints to self-financed artists and DJs.

Founded by Dapz, whose career in music spans over 20 years, the platform is built on real-world experience, technical precision, and a deep understanding of underground music culture.

Dapz’s journey began early. He started DJ’ing at just 13 years old and was producing his own music by 16. In 2000, he completed a course in Electronic Music & Recording at Leicester College to expand his knowledge of studio composition and production. He later progressed to a National Diploma (BTEC Level 3) in Music Technology between 2003–2004, further refining his technical foundation.

A decade later, Compound Audio was established as a full-time venture, specialising in mixing and mastering. During this period, Dapz restored and remastered numerous classic tracks from the 90s and early 2000s, re-cutting them to vinyl and helping preserve key moments in dance music history. This naturally evolved into offering bespoke vinyl cutting services for labels and DJs.

As demand grew for his master’s to be transferred directly to wax, Dapz travelled to Germany to complete professional training before investing in a VR T560 cutting lathe, allowing Compound Dubz to deliver high-quality, precision vinyl cuts in-house.
