ONE-OFF & BESPOKE VINYL CUTS
Looking for a single record rather than a short run? No problem.
Compound Dubz specialises in one-off and bespoke lathe cuts, whether you’re creating a DJ dubplate, a personalised record, a special gift or simply want your own music on vinyl.
Every record is individually cut to order, so you can have a single copy made without committing to a larger production run.
CHOOSING YOUR DUBPLATE
The size and format of your record will depend on how much music you want to cut and how you want the record to perform.
For the best possible results, we recommend choosing the largest format that suits your project and keeping within the recommended running times below.
7" DUBPLATE
Up to approximately 4:30 per side.
Ideal for singles, DJ tools and shorter cuts. Longer cuts may be possible, but can require lower cutting levels and tighter groove spacing
10" DUBPLATE
Up to approximately 6:30 per side.
The classic 10″ go-to dubplate size for DJs cutting their own music to play out. Perfect for VIPs, DJ tools and exclusives. A great all-rounder for club and system use.
12" DUBPLATE
Up to approximately 9:00 per side.
More groove space for level, low-end performance and longer runtimes. Longer cuts of up to around 16 minutes per side may be possible depending on the audio.
12" EP DUBPLATE
Need multiple tracks on each side?
The 12″ EP format is designed for multi-track layouts, with 3 or 4 tracks per side depending on your material and running time. We recommend up to approximately 12 minutes per side, with longer sides of up to around 16 minutes possible depending on the audio and track layout.

Need your music professionally prepared for vinyl cutting or pressing?
Our dedicated Vinyl Mastering service prepares your audio specifically for vinyl, with careful attention to dynamics, low-end control, stereo width, phase and overall cutting requirements.
Vinyl mastering is available separately from the lathe cutting service.
